Still another Blazer tank conversion problem???

OK,,,,

I put my blazer tank in quite a while ago, Hooked everything up, Now today I set the BED on the frame and low and behold, My crossmember comes across just where the FUEL INLET is, and I'm going to have to RELIEVE (CUT) quite a bit out of the crossmember.
Is this a common occurance? Must be, I'm sure mine's no different then yours.
