Alternator harness wiring diagram

Hi guys. This is my first post so I hope I'm getting it in the right place, etc. I'd like to modify my existing external regulator harness in my '69 C10 short, narrow, 396/T400 for a one wire or three wire internally regulated alternator retrofit. I don't really like the aftermarket adaptor harness appearance. I've done lots of automotive wiring in the last 40 years and am confident I can do the job and make it look alot better than the adaptor harness. I just need a diagram to get it right. I've tried a search of the archives and don't find what I need. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
