68 Truck - Suspension Rebuild
Relatively new here and tearing into my 68. Its dropped 3.5 up front with a dropped spindle and 1 inch shorter coil from McGaughy's. Also conversion to disc brakes. I'm snapping her all back together, but need some help on torque specs.
Idler, Pitman, Tie Rod Ends, Center shaft, etc. ALso, if this isn't super precise, but in the ball park, can I expect problems down the road? I read my Chilton's for 1979 trucks, and its takcing about # 18 regular nuts, factory crimped nuts and tightening, loosening, etc. My new MOOG parts came with Castle Nuts. Getting confused and I need someone to help me with the facts! Thanks in advance. David |
