Can you adjust sending units and gas gauge readings?

Just what is says, is their a way to adjust the reading of a gas gauge when you change to a different tank? I have put a late 80's Blazer tank in Low Buck and now I find out the reading is way off. What can be done about this, is their a way of adding resisters or somthing to fix this? Or is their some kind of an adjustable in line box to fix the problem? I know alot of people use different tanks so what have you done to fix the problem?

Thanks for any info!
