Finally did some real work on the truck today

Today I had a friend help me sand down the surface rust in my bed, and fix a couple of dents. Then while he cleaned up and painted my brake drums, I painted the bed floor and wheel housings with gray POR-15. Pretty nice stuff. I was only able to get one coat on it today, but will get another coat on it tomorrow or sunday. (I should be able to post pics sometime next week, before - during - and after painting)

Now that I have the floor taken care of, my bedsides and tailgate look like crap. I was wondering about the paint compatibility of POR-15. Can I just POR-15 the bedsides, and then paint over it? I would really prefer white bedsides and a gray floor. Just checking to see if I need to use a certain kind of paint. And I have to stick with rattle cans for now, don't have the air compressor working yet.

Also on Sunday, I'm going to need to replace my front brakes. My passenger side pads wore down and cut a groove in the rotor. I guess it's payback for just driving the truck for three weeks without checking anything. I assume the previous owner swapped a 71-72 crossmember onto the truck for the disc brakes, but it could be anything. Does it make a difference? Is there anyway to tell what I have? I'd hate to go get the wrong parts. Thanks again,
