Leaf springs....easy ride?
I have coils on my '69. I have leaf springs on my '96 Stepside. I know this is the 67-72 board, but thought someone with leaf spring experience would chime in and offer their opinion.
Both of my trucks are lowered. The '69 has an ECE disc brake conversion along with new coils on all four corners. It rides like a dream. The '96 rides like, well, a truck. It's a SWB and experience is showing me that a bit of a load helps the ride. With gas prices what they are, I don't want additional weight to carry around, for the sake of the ride. If you were going to remove any leaves from the rear springs, which ones would you remove. I don't do any heavy hauling, using my truck more like a station wagon....it has a tonneau cover, anyway. So, which leaf?
