Ls-1 Swap Question-for Those Who Have Done One

For those of you who have swapped an LS-1 engine into their 73-87 era Truck; what type of accelerator cable did you use. I have been told from another website to use the original "Camaro" style accelerator cable that this engine is out of, but that it "may" be too short for my application. I would rather ask around then spend the money from GM for a part that doesn't work.

Also FYI, the Corvette fuel rail covers that go on the LS-1 engines fit a little snug on the driver's side on my 1981 Blazer but do go on. They are a little tight underneath my brake booster. At first I thought I would have to cut it some.
