Re: Finally beginning the restore of my 1968 C 10 shortbed stepside truck
I am back, with good and bad news
good .......................... my POS brother is FINALLY going to give me the title, he claimed for 2 years that i gave him the wrong VIN, so i emailed PA DMV and gave them the VIN + plate # and short story and asked if they would verify if it exists, got an email back within 24 hours saying ...................... yeah, it is here, it has always been here ............. so NOW, with no ability to deny, my brother is getting me the title BAD ..................... my trucks frame is FUBAR, I thought only replaceable parts like trailing arms were rotted but apparently the frame is damaged where the trailing arms would bolt on, the guy who will do the restore says I need a new frame. This sucks we did verify that the truck only has 26,903 miles on it, for some reason i thought it was over 30k not sure what to do next, is there a way to fix the frame? does it make sense to just buy a 2nd truck and restore from there with parts from both? In the end, at a minimum, I just want a 1968 C-10 shortbed stepside with MY vin # given my situation, how should I accomplish this? |
