Simple Oil Pan Question.
Hey all,
I am cleaning up the 350 in the truck, so I pulled it to paint. I dropped the oil pan and was going to use another one that I had. The confusion is that the original oil pan matches the block with only a bump out for dipstick on the driverside. The other oil pan and the one piece rubber oil pan gasket I have the bump outs on both sides of the engine for either side dipstick. The gasket has the hole on both sides, no knockouts, so both sides could be used. If I put the second oil pan (it's a little better shape than mine) and the gasket on my block without the bump on the passenger side, will it leak, or will it work okay? Thanks! Shawn
