I SAW it start!....right in front of my eyes..
I pulled the truck out into the yard the other morning to finish up cleaning/painting my wheels prior to getting new tires - for some reason, I felt I HAD TO open the hood while it was running just to make sure all was ok..don't ask me why, something just said to do it.
I looked it all over - running nice and smooth, I looked at the distributor hold down then over to the top of the fuel pump and SPLAT! The hose split open right while I was looking at it. I shut it off, grabbed a screwdriver (hose clamp on it from the PO) - pulled it off and realized, the level in the tank was higher than I could reach with the hose.... what to do, what to do.... I remembered I had a pair of side cutters in my pocket - snipped off the bad end and put back together..... just weird...... good timing but weird.
