72 Bed
I have a 72 short bed and the bedsides have rusted through on both sides at the wheel arches. The bed floor also has holes through it at almost every section that has a cross sill, the front bed panel is bent, and the wheel housings are beat up pretty bad. Sorry I don't have pictures of this. It seems like it will be expensive to fix all of this as i'm not a body man, nor do I have the tools. I'm wondering if I can even find a local bed in better shape. I checked the parts board and I didn't see any near me for sale. I know a guy that has one and he says its in pretty good condition. Only a few pin holes in the floor and a dent in the bedside according to him. My question is, would I be better off getting a different bed or try to get the one I have fixed? I can take a chance on the one I've found for about $500 plus whatever it would cost to get that one up to par or keep what I have. What do you guys think would be the best option? Thanks.
