Bolt on 4 speed tranny?

I need some recomedations on a new manual tranny. I will be running the new tranny behind a new stock Gm crate motor 290hp/350. i currently have a 3 speed saginaw behind a 305/ v8. I do not want to get involved in any fabrication or modifications or have to cut the drive shaft. I won't be doing any hauling and don't expect to drive this truck like a race car. I like the muncie 4 speeds, but they seem to bring big money. I also like the saginaw's because of there price, but from what i read they seem to break with higher h/p motors. Is there anything in between these two that is not too expensive and handles H/P a bit better than the Saginaw's, and bolts right up?..............thanks rick
