Front lift question`
hey guys/gals, got a question that is probably opposite of what is probably asked, I want to raise instead of lower the front, I got a 18 " wheels and probably too big of tires, I like the look and would rather change the front height than wheels and tires, I know this has probably been asked before , however , I looked for the thread, but no luck, I want about two to three inches, I removed the small blk 350 and installed a stock 402 in my c-20 , however when I go over a big bump, I hold my breath and crindge, because I know a tire rub is about to happen, I am cutting up tires and if its really a big bump and can actually smell rubber burning from the rub, it would be cool if it were rear rubber I was smelling, but its front rubber, not a good thing,
I am going to (until I do more research) install the correct springs, the 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons take the same springs, but engine size makes a difference, they are two different springs sm. blk. takes one type and big blk. takes another, My question is there somthing better I should know, like tubular A-arms and should I go w/ the big block springs and also spacers under the springs, or have I missed somthing, cost isnt an issue, and I am not concerned about the raising look, the rake it has now its pretty seriuos, sorta looks like a stink bug . I think it would look better raised in the front anyway. sorry for the lenghy story, but if there is a sight anyone can recomend for searching different ways of raising the front, much appreciated...
