As pictured in your last post you have the early style adapter and sleeve.The late style(post 77ish) will not have the bearing and snap ring on the sleeve.The sleeve will be the same diameter on both ends and not kneck down like the one you pictured.

I think I have the proper parts for the '72 based on the pictures of the replacement parts on the advance adapters website for the 71-79. Mine look to be the same configuration.
