OEM steering stabilizer

I have a 72 1/2 ton short fleet. It is equiped with a front steering stabilizer which appears to be stock- it has an eyelet on each end that a stainless bolt passes through to the cross link and one attached to the left front spindle assembly. I just ordered a replacement from Gm and got a replacement that was supposed to be correct but when opened it had a threaded end on each side not the eyelet. GM parts guy told me mine had be replaced but brother has 72 k20 with the same setup- so who is right and where can I get a new stabilizer?
