What a difference wheels can make...

I know a set of wheels and tires shouldn't be the first priority during a rebuild or restoration... but it sure does motivate me to continue.

This is my kid brother's truck... He lives out of state, so I'm doing the lion's share of the work while he sends me parts and money. Still waiting for the correct trim rings, since my dumb a$$ ordered the wrong ones the first time. Those rally wheels look awesome with the cop car caps on them.

We went with 15x6's on the front and 15x8's on the back. We probably could have gotten away with the next size taller front tire too... Those huge wheel wells sure swallow up a set of tires...

I also stripped-off the mirrors, and removed the 200lb 4x8ft sheet of steel that was bolted in the bed...along with about 50lbs of dirt. Notice the difference in ride height.
