Re: Project "Dream Truck"
Well i went downstair right after you gave me that idea. I cut off the factory alluminum mounts and then pressed out the rubber and the remaining alluminum. Then i remembered i bought a set of rubber inserts for my old cantilever suspension set and was curious if they were similiar sizes. Turned out that they we almost perfect. I had to lightly sand it a little to make it fit but i couldn't believe it. What luck! I only have 2 sets and i need 4 but i am sure i can order some more. Also the rubber bushings had the metal sleeve that goes inside. I didn't press it in because i wanted to double check and make sure that it is "thick" enough. I think it might be .120 but might be just one size down from that. Here are a couple pics of the one side i did. Also a pic of that metal sleeve. How thick do you think the metal sleeve should be? Thanks again
Josh
