steering box lube

I have a manual steering box out of the truck I am cleaning up to paint. What kind of lube goes in this? The service manual says "water resistant EP Chassis Grease." Is this just regular grease you would put in suspension parts?

I also noticed as I turn the input shaft with my hand, it turns smoothly until you get to one "end" of the full cycle and then you can kind of feel it "grabing," and doesn't turn as smooth. Is this anything to worry about? Maybe the adjusting screw needs to be turned?
