NP205 Speedo Question

I think I have this down, but want to make sure I'm not missing something.

My transfercase is leaking at the speedo cable, I know surprise. From reading around it seems the cure is to get a new sleeve for the speedo gear, P/N 326561.

So is there any seal that goes in the top part of the speedo cable, like between the sleeve and the bell part of the cable?

The reason I ask is there seems to have been some sort of seal there that got caught in the speedo cable.

I don't see where else a seal would go since the flat bell end of the cable sits against the top of the sleeve.
