Fuel tank switch '86 vs. '87
I recently bought a fuel tank switch to use on my '86 truck. It turns out the switch I bought is for '87 and newer.
On the switch one of the four "poles" has a "bump". The only difference I can see is that the "bump" is on a different "pole" on the two switches. My question is, if I can remove the bump on the newer switch will it work on the older truck? I have to assume there is something different about the switches or why would they make them different? But if one will work in place of the other I will just figure out a way to remove the bump.
