SM465 Speedo gear HELP!!!!
Can someone who has a truck with an SM465 and 3.73 gears tell me what speedo driven gear you have???? I currently have a "J" stamped on mine (it is steel not plastic) and there was a 1.25 reduction unit between the speedocable and the driven gear. The "J" driven gear has 19 teeth. The donor trans came out of a 82 C10 with a 2.73 ring and pinion. I have a trans guy that has all the gears in the world but I cant seem to find the right combo for this swap... This combo will be used with 31x10.5 tires. I also have never seen a steel driven gear either.... Here are some pix of what I have... the numbers stamped on the Stewart Warner reduction box that arent legible are "666E C4" and beneath that are "1.2500 BT"... any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!
