Go-Pedal Fab..Macht es Schnell! UPDATE - Pt. 2.
As the title says, I got bored today, and decided I wanted to make a gas pedal for the ol' girl.
So, since I have a 4x2 sheet of aluminum diamond plate... started with a good pattern. trace, and compare to stock gas pedal, after shrinking to make it about the same size. rough out with angle grinder and cut off wheel, then slap it in the vice, and take it down to the lines with a big ferrier's file. some decorating... and in the truck. Is it out of place? Sure. Is it kind of lame? You bet. But. It beats paying 20 bucks for a footprint gas pedal, which my parents were going to buy me as a surprise present. I would've been down with that, but, there's better things to spend a 20 on. And, if I don't like and get tired of it, it makes a nice wall hanging. or...something. But, thats where it sits right now. Time invested: 1.5 hours. Total cost: nadda. Lemme know whatcha think. -Sam.
