67 Truck info...Later Models to Follow
padreisla you asked for this 67 INFO Hopes this is of Help
1967 -72 TRUCKS ARE CALLED THE CUSTOM SPORT TRUCK ERA. ACCORDING TO ONE MAGAZINE (CLASSIC TRUCK I THINK?) THESE TRUCKS HAVE NEVER LOST THEIR APPEAL TO MAIN STREAM AMERICA PLUS THEY WERE THE FIRST GENERATION OF TRUCKS TO HAVE CAR LIKE OPTIONS SUCH AS; A/C, AM/FM RADIO, BIG BLOCK, BUCKETS SEATS, TACH, ETC. IT IS SAID THESE TRUCKS HAVE REACHED THE ICON STATUS OF THE TRI-FIVES. PARTS ARE EASY TO COME BY AND THEYRE ARE DOZENS OF SUPPLIERS FOR THE TRUCKS SUCH AS GMCPAUL AND CLASSIC HEARTBEAT. PLUS THERE ARE MANY OTHER FINE SUPPLIER OF TRUCK PARTS. YOU WILL FIND THE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD AND A FEW OTHER SIGHTS VERY HELPFUL. ONE MIGHT SAY THIS IS AN EXTENDED FAMILY. 1967 WAS THE BEGINNING OF THESE GREAT TRUCKS AND STANDARD AND CUSTOM TRIM LEVELS WERE AVALIABLE FOR YOUR 67 TRUCK. A TRIM OPTION WAS THE CST (CUSTOM SPORT TRUCK) WHICH MADE THE TRUCK LOOK A LITTLE NICER. ONE COULD GET BUCKET SEATS AND A 327 V8 IN THESE TRUCKS. TWO MODELS WERE FLEETSIDE AND STEPSIDE. I BELIEVE BOTH COULD BE HAD IN LWM OR SWB (LONG WHEEL BASE/SHORT WHEEL BASE). I BELIEVE A CUSTOM CAMPER HAS A 8 1/2' BED WHICH WAS AN OPTIONAL BED TO BE USED WITH CAMPER TOPS. SALES 67-1,518,426 68-1,775,601 69-1,888,812 70-1,790,177 71-1,993,186 72-2,513,952 COLORS:CAMEO WHITE, CHARCOAL GRAY, DARK AQUA, DARK BLUE, DARK GREEN, HUGGER ORANGE, HORIZON ORANGE, LIGHT BLUR, LIGHT YELLOW, MEDIUM BLUE, OMAHA ORANGE, PURE WHITE, RED, SILVER, VERMILLION, WOODLAND GREEN, WHITE, YELLOW, AND YUMA YELLOW. HOPES THIS LITTLE BIT OF INFO HELPS. THERE ARE MANY BOKS AVALIABLE ABOUT THESE TRUCKS. WELCOME ABOARD, 70CST REMEMBER: ANYONE CAN DRIVE A DODGE OR FORD, BUT IT TAKES SOMEONE SPECIAL TO OWN AND DRIVE A 67-72 CHEVY/GMC TRUCK!! |
