I just need to share...
with others who can appreciate it. My wife and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary sunday. She found out I got her a gift (I'm no fool), she has no idea what it is, but she was stuck figuring out what to get me in return. I told her that what I wanted more than anything else, was to get my truck ready for paint. The cab needs some fixing, and as good a mechanic type as I am, I have no patience, skill or ambition to work the sheetmetal. I will pay a professional to do what I can't. She agreed, and I am happy.
Now the hard part. Finding someone actually willing to do this kind of work. So many of the body shops will just let these projects sit forever in order to get the insurance collision work done because they make more money that way. I can't blame a guy for wanting to make a buck, but when you live in Podunkville, 1-2 hour drive from any larger city where there may be more options, you are not left with much to work with. So now I have the ok to do the work, but can I find someone willing? I'll have to won't I. HG
