Finally made a little progress - pics

Finished wire-brushing, scraping, and cleaning the undercarriage and frame - then painted it. Went the cheap, self-labor route - and did it myself instead of getting it blasted..

Man, what a nasty job. It's not perfectly clean, but it's MUCH better than it was and about 10 lbs lighter without the grime.

Also painted the firewall - again..

Got the rear springs on it and put the wheels/tires on it, sat it on the ground for the first time in a while, and man - I love the way it sits and can't wait to get it on the road!

Gonna try to fit the 5.3/4L60E in tomorrow - making adapter plates for the motor, and probably making my own tranny crossmember as well.

It rained this week, so it's got some rainspots here and there... Just dodged some crazy hail too!

Excuse the brake lines - they're not all hooked up yet.
