Longtime Buick/Chevy Fanatic from the fringe. I have a friend that moved to Tucson with his fabulous 1966 Custom Suburban and I missed it! I've been on the lookout for some time, but fell into a deal I could not resist. Good old Craigslist comes thru again. - This was listed for a mere $800 but the ad had no pictures so I quickly made arrangements to check it out.
Got there and this is what was sitting there -

Even though the guy told me that the steering was broken and the starter was dragging, I slapped down the money RIGHT NOW!
Steering problem was a poorly installed coupler to the added later model Power Steering Box - $5 part from the junkyard. Starter was OK, just lousy wiring. She started up and runs like a CHAMP!
Previous Owner swapped the grille out - I kinda like it, but I've got a 1966 grille to spruce up, do a little custom work on and install later.
I'm a Very Happy Suburbanite in Seattle...
