Rockwell T221 to NP 205

I am a long time owner of a 1968 GMC K2500. Since 1970. Recently I broke the coupler (sleeve) between the SM465 and the Rockwell T221. It stripped out on the Rockwell side. I am in the process of installing an NP205. I have installed the NP205 to SM465 adapter and moved the supporting crossmember. It moved back about 2.5 inches. My intention is to temporarily install the NP205 to locate the holes for the flexible side mount to the frame. Is there any other way to locate this mount and drill the new holes? I also assume the driveshafts will need to be lengthened (front) and shortened (rear) and the shift lever for the NP205 will require a new hole in the floor panel. If anyone has done this swap I would sure appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks
