True. I had forgotten about the transmission issue when swaping in a fuel injection setup. After thinking it thru, I guess getting that newer motor to work correctly with an older automatic would be tricky. I have always planned to use a standard trans so I guess I had that stuck in my head. To me that would be easier, just have to get a speed signal to the computer.
You do have a good point about "handyness". If you plan to do a swap like this with parts that are all purchased it would add up VERY quickly. If you can do all the wiring and fabricate some of the smaller brackets and what not it wouldn't be near as bad. You would just have to buy the big stuff.
