Questions on Manual to Auto swap

Looking at swapping my M21 4-speed for a TH400 on my 66 C-10. Before I ask alot of questions, can anyone point me to a thread where someone has done the same or similar?

I have looked but could not find one.

Some of my questions are around the mount, can I use the one that is in there now, if so will it need to be modified? Will it be easier to get one from another truck, what year should I look for? Or is it just easier to buy on like REZ has in their catalog?

Any opinions on floor mount shifters?

Enough now, I mentioned I was not going to ask alot of questions, but I kinda did anyway.
