Got rake?
Took a few pics today, after rearranging my two projects in the garage. Keep in mind the bed is just sitting on the frame, and a handful of bolts are holding the front end on.
Combine oversized rear tires, with overcut, old stocker springs - and no front shocks - and you get a very steep rake. I've got 2.5-3" drop spindles on right now and will be installing 1" drop springs which should raise the front about an 1" or so. I hope. It's either that or drop the rear more! Blocks? I'm not digging it at the moment. The funky white/red offset lines around the window don't help the look either. Hopefully raising the front will help, but the back still seems way high, even with 5" drop springs. I guess if the front didn't have a 5" drop or so, it wouldn't be so bad... Wheel/tire combo is 22x9.5 +12 offset/285-35R22's, and 20x8.5 +10 offset/245-40R20's. Had to trim the rear fenderwells a little to clear the tires. I may sell these wheels/tires and start over. I don't know - I guess I'll see how it all goes together once its satin black. |
