Headers on my BB in my 4x4 - I never want to do that again!
What a pain in the A$$. Drivers side went fine after dropping the oil filter and all the clutch linkage (bell crank). Passenger side was a really pain. Grind on the frame, try to install. Grind some more on the frame, try to install. Grind some more on ........... you get the idea. Starter had to come out, not easy to get back in with headers because of the funky nose cone mounting (not like a typical Chevy) I'll be changing that soon! All in all, by far the hardest header swap I have done. My muff shop is really gonna earn his money trying to run pipe through the crossmember next to the transfer case. Tight tight tight fit!
Just thought I would share my 12 hour ordeal! ------------------ 67 SWB 4x4 - 396 BB / SM420 4 spd 8" lift / 15x14 Welds & 35X14.5 SSR's Grants Pass, OR [This message has been edited by Pont (edited May 26, 2002).]
