LS1 Donor car...

I have a 1970 Chevy 3/4 ton long bed, and a buddy of mine is parting out his 2002 Z28. With exception of the LS1/4L60E everything I want can be had for a very minimal price.

My plan with this truck is to make it pro-street. Nothing too crazy, but something that moves well, handles well, and stops well. I know it's not the most ideal platform, but I don't care either.

Now my question is: Has anyone done a 4th gen F-Body K-Member swap with any success? I'd like to get rid of my drums in the first place, and if I could swap in the Z28 brakes as well as upgrade the suspension that would be ideal.
