van tilt neutral safety switch
I was working on my van tilt last night, moving the neutral safety switch. I cut the slot in the outer tube, then cut the 3/8" wide slot in the shifter tube.
My switch doesn't fit down into the slot in the shifter tube. the switch has a slot in it, like a tab from the shifter tube should go in it. When I move the shifter, nothing happens to the switch. Do I need to add some sort of tab to the shifter tube that engages with the switch? This wasn't covered in the FAQ. Also, for whatever reason, my van tilt didn't even have a neutral safety switch. It was out of an earlier (early to mid 70s) "Vandura" It has the half moon shaped connector. thanks |
