just finished cleaning the front end on a 1/2 ton 68 chevy c10. everything looks good so far till i got to the crossmember and noticed a cracked coil spring cup on the drivers side. i looked and thought how i would repair it!!
well i had a few options but dont know how to tackle it so i thought i would ask the awsome forum clan and see what your opinion would be!! my options: bend a plate to original shape and weld cut out the cup out and weld a flat plate to make it flush with the crossmember. then cut another flat plate that would have a 1" tube welded to it and bolt it under neith were the original cup would be!! also does any know were to get upper a-arm bolts at?? ive looked at some auto parts stores but they had trouble finding them so if anyone has a part # that would help also. thanks ![]()
