Exclamation Severe cold start acceleration problem

I have been experiencing severe cold problems lately. When I start the truck up it starts as it should, it idles fine and I leave it in the driveway a few minutes and I go to drive off. I put the truck in gear and as soon as I depress the accelerator the truck stalls out. And stays like that until the truck really warms up. As I am driving and I hit the accelerator it begins to stall and I ease up. Even after it warms up I have to take the truck around the neighborhood and juice it up before I go on the main road for fear of it stalling out.
The latest repairs have been the following:
1. Rebuilt 4bbl Rochester
2. New MSD distributor

Once the truck is fully warmed up it runs much better although I have little confidence in it. I doubt if this is a timing issue as it doesn't have this problem on warm up. I am leaning toward the carb. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
