SUPER EASY pilot bushing removal tip
I am in the process of converting my '69 C10 to automatic from a 3 on the tree. Here is a VERY simple way to remove the pilot bushing WITHOUT the greasy mess.
5/8" tap( I used a fine thread 'cuz thats all I had)threaded all way through  and out it comes...  clean out the shavings,and you're DONE....5 minutes tops.  Good Luck. -Lance
