what to do???
ok everyone here's the problem. I have a 71 c10 2wd long bed fleetside. it needs work inside and out as well as drivetrain and engine work. I have an idea for the truck and an image in my head of it done. I'm on a very limited budget so it's pretty much a piece at a time when I can find enough change in the couch cushions. the problem is this. Ive restored cars in the past. Never a truck. this is my first of one of these old beauties. I have access to a shop full of tools, cutting torch, welder, anything I could need. as it is the truck is sitting barely started. the main issue is where to start. should I a.) do the engine work and make it run.
b.) do the interior so that its comfortable to sit in during breaks. c.) do the body work so I have a beauty sitting in the yard or d.) start at the front bumper and work my way back. I have another vehicle for a daily driver and Im out in the country so no in town issues with a truck sitting taken apart. the shop can only be used for a day or so at a time and has to stay as freed up as possible. mainly because its my neighbors shop and he has about 90 vehicles it seems and isnt home much which uses the shop for storing his vehicles. I cant complain I can use it all I want just not forever. Im sure theres been others here at the board that have had this same problem on where to begin. so I figured I would ask.thanks to anyone who replies Dan
