pulled engine/transmission today

I have pulled the engine and transmission today. I would like to ask if anyone knows what this bracket in the picture is for it is on the right side and above the starter? The torque converter do I need to fill it before I put it on the engine or wait until the engine and transmission are back in the truck?

I am replacing the housing seal and the front pump seal and filter. Is there anything else that needs to be replaced while I have the transmission out?

Have the Felpro ks2600 kit coming Monday and will start to replace the engine gaskets. I am thinking about timing chain and water pump not sure?

The inline filter in the picture is that normal or was the filter added later. I was thinking that a rubber hose connected the metal line to the fuel pump but now there is a filter. Is that alright?

Here are some pictures
