4spd. Linkage??
Hello All, I've been working on replacing a dying 327 with a 400 in our 72 3/4 ton. When I was at it I noticed that the clutch lever on the frame seemed to be at a considerable angle, as in not perpendicular to the frame. Is this normal? I haven't found a decent schematic or picture of this yet. The part I'm talking about rides on two ball studs, one mounted on the frame the other on the engine block. This truck has been monkied with quite a bit by previus owners so there really is no way of telling what combination of parts we got. It does have headers so I'm wondering if some tweaking was involved to everything work. It might be perfectly normal too. Does anyone have a decent picture of what factory 4spd. clutch linkage for a small block is supposed to look like? It seemed to be working O.K. before I started but if its not right I want to make it right. What do you guys think? Any help is very appreciated?
