62 engine mount question

Well, I'll admit I'm a newbie to both these trucks and chevy's in general. I am working on my recently aquired 62 GMC stepside with plans to instal a 350 with auto trans. Pulled the 305 V6 out and am looking at what I think are NOT factory engine mounts. Also, it looks to me as if a prior owner boxed in the frame rails at the mounts as well. I have no info about the truck as it was a gift and can't get any history on her. Also pulled a three speed manual from her. From what I've seen of others peoples trucks on this site, my mounts look non-factory, welded in place. The 305 attached to these with simple rectangular rubber engine mounts. Can't find any numbers on the frame rail either so I don't even know if this is original frame
Any thoughts??
