Front wheel bearings on C30. Tips?

Well, I'm getting some nasty noises out of my left front. I jacked it up and gave the wheel a spin. Maybe just a little play, but definitely some drag and rough sounds. Wasn't sure it it was brakes dragging a little, but the other side spins very freely. I dont' know when they were repacked, but it's been a long time. I'm going to figure on replacing the bearings, and hope the spindle isn't chewed up.

Anybody got any advice? I'm not sure I even know how to pull the dust cap off that big b*tch, but I've done plenty of wheel bearings, so I guess I'll figure it out.
