In the mean time... quick lowering

Guys, pardon the simple question.

I am building a 68 C10 stepside, 6 lug, drum brakes all around.

I plan on eventually putting air ride and converting to disc/drum, but thats when I do a full blown teardown and body resto. I want to use the truck for a short while first.

Right now, I just want to lower the entire truck a few inches, maybe 2/4 or 3/5 drop. Can I just put in new lowering springs and call it a day? Is there anything else I need??? Wasn't sure how that affected the front end, etc.

Thanks,
T
