what would you do???

Well a friend of mine might be picking up 2 trucks. an 85 shorty 4x4 1/2 ton with 3-4 inch skyjacker lift kit. He is also getting an ex cucv with a gas motor and 6 inch lift. He said if I help him with replacing some parts on his 84 k20 And help him part the trucks out I can have some of the parts. So what should I do. My truck is a 1977 k10 with a 350 and auto. I was thinking the skyjacker 4 inch lift with an ORD shackle flip in the rear instead of blocks and from there I am not sure. should I be swapping to the 1 tons?? Also how involved would a swap to 1 tons be? I was also thinking of grabbing the trans and Tcase from that cucv but am unsure.

What would you grab?? should I be looking more at the 6 inch lift?? I plan to offroad this truck and use it as a winter driver.

Thanks
