Re: New Look
kulturekat...pics of my bags...just bolt them in place of the springs. I think I had grind the top hole larger to accomodate my fittings and drill two holes for the bolts for the bag. Bags were cheaper than rear springs...and adjustable! I just use schader fittings next to the license plate like the old El Caminos.
stepn67...Wheels are stock 8x15 steel wheels in the back with 235/70x15 and stock 6x15 up front with 175/75x15. Skinny/fat combo...old school. Got $40 in four tires from the pull-a-part...burnout material! Hart-Rod...I have a set of NOS '68 stainless caps (over the nubs) that I just can't bring myself to put on a vehicle...maybe some day...LOL! Wheels and caps to me are like my wife and shoes...you have to accessorize and one pair or set is never enough!!!! I am looking for a set of '67 caps I can paint and use or some of the CST stainless units. I will also pick up a set of the cheap black and silver caps used on the '80's vans...those should look good. Blue, red, white...I will try them all. I am missing one of these gold and black caps so have to make a run to the pull-a-part some day. CPNE...next swap meet! Longhorn70...thanks egressin...thanks 420am...PPG DP90 expoxy primer to keep the rust away. I was going to topcoat with a clear and a flattener but PPG brought out a new semi-gloss top coat that is much better. I still need to spray filler primer and block sand but in good time it will get there. No rush as I am working on the Longhorn. Thanks again for all the comments and compliments!
