Lumbar switch

On my wifes 97 s10 Blazer, the lumbar support switch shorted out. I have known this for awhile and have all the power to the seat disconnected.
GM did not think about the placement of the switch very well seeing as how when you slide in and out of the seat you put your weight on the edge of the seat. With the switch in the side of the seat rather than mounded lower on the frame it finally broke the wires and was shorting on the inner seat frame causing the internior lights to come on..

My question... How do you remove the switch. I would like to fix the wiring as we are contemplating selling/trading it in.

Thank you.
