carb flooding problem
i just installed an iron intake on my cheyenne because i stripped a bolt in the aluminum one and need this thing on the road. yesterday, i put the right sized jets and needless back into the carb and when i got it all buttoned up, the carb overloaded and fuel started to come out of the accelorator pump. i took the carb off and took it apart again to make sure that everything was in check and there was no debris in the needle and seat area. with everything back in place, the truck idles and drives fine, but there is a little smoke in the exhaust. how can i lean this thing out? the jets are # 71 and the needles are #45. the only thing that is changed is the intake. the truck has always had this needle and seet combination. should i lower the float level?
