I just can't catch a break... My Chev is hurting

Before I left on my road trip I went to an underbody specialist because I had a nasty rattle under my Chev - they put it over the pit and said it was fine.

This week I was cruising along doing 100km per hour when there is a massive bang and there smoke flies out and everything goes pear shaped and fast.
I pull over and look underneath to see diesel pouring out on the bitumen and my baby in pain.

The tail shaft sheared off and when it got loose it took out my fuel lines and a chunk of my gear box/transfer case. Am I up for a new drive line.

Thinking this is her vote for the putting her in the shed for a total rebuild and buy a new car in the mean time argument. I am looking at a new Jeep Wrangler 2 door.

Any advice?
