Trouble with tall Aluminum Valve Covers
Greetings to all. I am working on a 1972 Chevy 4x4. I had removed and now am reinstalling the cab on the frame. I have already set my engine and trans. The engine is a custom built, 350 with a set of aluminum heads (Pro Comps) and tall aluminum valve covers. Now, I can't get the cab to realign on the mounts due to interference with the valve covers. It looks like the needed forward movement is about 3/4 to 1" to clear the covers. Has anyone had the problem before? Any suggestions? Thanks to everyone for his or her comments and suggestions.
