Never heard of such a thing. Looks like the manual switch opens a path from"tank to bag"when pushed in one direction and opens an air escape path"from bag" when push in another direction. Escaping air would come right out of the valve into your cab? Maybe theres a provision for routing the escaping air outdoors ?? Just guessing.

Imo,3/8 line is the seet spot.
