Howdy from the Salt Lake City, UT area!

What a great informational site!

I just purchased a '68 Chevy K20 longbed. I'm counting on this site to help with a complete, frame-off redo. Looking at rebuilding a 327 SBC for it, blasting the frame and all usable body parts, swapping the 4-spd manual for an automatic, doing drum-to-disc conversion, replacing the rear-end with something I can get better than 55mph out of, replacing all non-usable body parts, modestly lifting it (4" max) and topping everything off with a sweet paintjob.

Lots of work I know. Especially when I'm starting from scratch on a lot of the stuff. Never worked on trucks, let alone 4X4's. I have restored/rebuilt a couple '67 Firebirds and looking for a '65 GTO to restore for my dad when I get time away from the truck to do it.

I can guarantee you I'll be doing lots of brain-pickin', searching and board-lurking during the process.

I've got the makings of my dream truck. Now just have to start fleshing it out.

TIA for any help, input, contructive criticism, etc.

Happy to be here!
